simplex Pro - Set up Watchfolder

This article explains what the Watchfolder in simplex Pro does.

What is the Watchfolder for?

Using a Watchfolder, you can specify a folder on your computer so that you can automatically import, encode, and upload videos to simplex Pro. For example, if you have a lot of videos to publish, you can copy them to the Watchfolder and simplex Pro automatically creates a new project for each video.

How can I activate the Watchfolder?

Step 1:

Start simplex Pro.

Step 2:

Right-click in the desired profile on the left and then go to «Edit Profile».

Step 3:

Now the profile settings appear. Select the tab «Watchfolder» above.

Step 4:Set the switch from «Disabled» to «Enabled». Click on the «Browse» button and select which folder on your hard disk should be selected as a watch folder.

Step 5:

Copy the videos you want into the Watchfolder.

Step 6:

The videos are successively imported, encoded and uploaded to simplex Pro. If you have activated the «Delete source videos» option, the original videos in the watch folder will be deleted.

Step 7:

For each imported video, a separate project is created.
